Caracal & Serval Encounter

Designed for those 10 year old and older who want to get up-close to these magnificent cats.

In behind the scenes encounter you'll come face to face with Nova, our Caracal and Apothis, our Serval. You will learn about them and find out more about them from their Keepers. This is an opportunity to marvel at these amazing cats and learn about the threats they face in their native environment.

caracal

The caracal is a medium-sized cat native to Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and India. It has a robust build, long legs, a short face, long tufted ears, and long canine teeth. Its coat is uniformly reddish tan or sandy, while the ventral parts are lighter with small reddish markings

serval

The serval is a slender, medium-sized cat that is native to Africa.  It is characterized by a small head, large ears, a buff coat with black spots and stripes. The serval has the longest legs of any cat relative to its body size.
